Mr.Wolfy
This is a children’s illustrated book cover about gender role story. Through ugly-cute art style, it emphasizes its anti-traditional spirit and encourages children to learn gender role diversity.

The “Big Bad Wolf” Mr Wolfy became a main character in this book because he presents a breakthrough in restricting and limiting gender roles. The different roles of Mr Wolfy in daily life evoked the emotion of children in a relaxed and casual way to realise that there is no stereotype in gender roles.
Character Design and Sketches
I experimented with various compositions to highlight the contrast of the Big Bad Wolf. For example, I used reflections in mirrors or on the surface of a lake to depict the wolf's internal struggle with self-identity. Additionally, I applied a shadow contrasts to express the changes of the big bad wolf.
